The skills to succeed: Meeting the country’s evolving technical skills needs

A new report launched today on behalf of the Institutes of Technology (IoTs) Network outlines some of the issues we face on both a national and local level, and showcases how IoTs are working alongside local employers to teach the technical skills needed to tackle them.

Developing a skilled workforce for the future

The Institutes of Technology Network is playing a key role in delivering the future skills needed for the UK manufacturing and engineering workforce. By identifying the future skills needed in the manufacturing and engineering workforce and building training systems for them to be met, the Emerging Skills Project is enabling UK businesses to better exploit emerging technologies and remain competitive.

The IoT Network has grown

We welcome the nine IoTs in development to the IoT Network. As a Network of 21, we look forward to expanding on our delivery of high quality, higher level technical education and training across a range of STEM occupations and industries.
